The Contractors' part of the site has a high level of (server-side) security, but it is important to realise that the data is not stored within an intranet but on a server connected to the internet. Whereas the server is firewalled against outside interference, unless you are logged on through a secure telephone connection such as the Intr@pharm/NPAnet, your own computer is vulnerable to hackers.

If you are using your PMR computer to log on to the internet we strongly recommend you either:

  • Install a firewall and keep it up to date
  • Use Intr@Pharm as your default ISP (Internet Service Provider)
